Ladies Association
The Denton Country Club Ladies Golf Association (LGA) was created in 1963 to support golf for women, promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among its members, and provide opportunities for its members to play and compete in golf events and tournaments.
Over the years, the LGA has established a wide variety of activities and events for lady golfers to enjoy regardless of experience or handicap. LGA offers fun nine-hole scramble events to help improve skill and meet new friends. The LGA has initiated, with the DCC Director of Golf, lady-only group lessons and weekly activities.
LGA holds quarterly evening meetings to enjoy dinner together, a program or a trunk show. Many of the competitive tournaments are team events that make the transition to playing in tournaments feel easier. Wednesdays are Ladies Day at DCC, and once a month during the prime golf season LGA has a 30-minute clinic led by DCC’s Director of Golf. Also, LGA holds a crossover event with DCC Ladies Tennis and play several holes of golf, and then play tennis.
